So you’ve decided to try your hand at multi level marketing. Hey – welcome to the business opportunity arena! Be prepared to work hard! And that’s something you won’t hear much when you’re exploring, talking, and eventually signing up with an MLM business. A lot of them will promise you the moon while you’re laying on the white sand sipping umbrella drinks. But hopefully you know that’s not true. Multi-level marketing, like all businesses, requires work and like everything else you’ll need to put your fair share of work into it. You can do much to help yourself, but we’ll help you by offering some proven suggestions that will make a difference.
Teach your recruits, but never do their work for them. You’re like the mother, after you show them you have to let them go so they can live in this business. If they are unable to do it, then they won’t do it and it will all collapse. You can teach them well, then show them how it’s done and expect them to follow your lead. If you do not accomplish that, then what’s the point – you’re just a regular affiliate marketer and not an MLM marketer. It is what every good boss does.
Don’t waste time trying to motivate the non-motivated. It’s a fact of MLM life that many people will sign-up, but when reality settles in, they drop out like nobody’s business.
It’s normal, lots think they can get by with letting others do all the hard work. When you see what’s going on, talk to them, if that doesn’t help – cut them loose. If anyone in your downline is like that, get rid of them fast. If a person wants to make money they will work for it.
Always try to be available to those you personally sponsor. It will adversely affect performance if you’re not around to answer questions and help. If you’re not there to provide help and support, your downline will naturally not want to make money for you. The more available you are and the more supportive you are of your team the harder they will work for you. Answer your cell phone, reply to emails, etc. You’ll like the results if you implement these simple strategies.
It is “not” true that MLM’s and pyramind schemes are the same thing – they are not.
They do have some things in common, though. First, one tremendous difference is the MLM business is a legal and legitimate business model. Lots of people get into it because they want to make money without having to do a lot of work. Here’s the real secret to making money with MLM’s: Hard Work. You’ll find that the more you contribute to your success, the more success you’ll have.
